The employment of instruments such as the mandolin, theramin, keytar, and even the iPhone has been conducive to a very original sound. Never shy about trying new sounds or techniques, David Crowder*Band have pushed the boundaries and exceeded the perceived limitations of Christian music, producing music that apparently transcends genre. It is said that all good things must come to an end, and this is indeed the case with the David Crowder*Band. This is their final album. David Crowder said ‘For a long while we have had a good idea of what we were going to record for album number 6; we were going to record a ‘Mass’... Fittingly enough, it seems our little ‘Mass’ has turned itself into a ‘Requiem’.’ So, a climatic ending to a movement that finds it roots in authenticity, inventiveness, honesty, and above all, a love for God and a desire to sing His praise."
